    Mix flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.

    Add yolks, oil, ube halaya, and water. Beat until smooth.

    Beat whites with cream of tartar until foamy. Add remaining sugar, beat to stiff peaks.

    Fold whites into batter. Pour into ungreased tube pan.

    Bake at 325°F for 55 minutes. Invert to cool.
